By choosing Munich Re, you have chosen the industry leader. The Summer Leadership Development Program (SLDP) is an internship program starting in May of 2020 that will introduce you to the re/insurance industry and provide you with a solid foundation to develop leadership skills. Throughout the summer you will have the opportunity to engage in technical training and hands-on project work; projects aim to address real-time needs across our business units. SLDP interns will also have ample opportunity to strengthen their professional and personal skills via meetings with executive leadership, networking with colleagues, involvement in volunteer opportunities, and conversations with their paired mentor. Munich Re’s Summer Leadership Development Program offers a robust introduction to both our broad business capabilities, and our full-time junior staff opportunities. Our International Graduate Trainee Program, for instance, prepares new college graduates for roles in our re/insurance business via a rigorous two-year training program.
