Enterprise Database Management is the CoE for database management within Wells Fargo. This position on the MongoDB DBA Team provides capabilities relative to database administration for the company on the MongoDB database platform. The person filling this position must be able to:
Maintain implementation guides and maintenance processes and documentation
Have a strong understanding of relational database architectures
Perform basic database environment capacity planning and availability management
Collaborate with partners to resolve company database policy compliance and vulnerability violations
Provide 12x7 on-call support for production problems to include experience with escalation and communication of the problem to management
Participate in planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization's server-class databases.
Follow operational policies, procedures, controls and standards aligned to compliance guidelines
Implement and maintain automation efficiencies using scripting languages (Python, KSH-KornShell, SED, or AWK) in a UNIX environment
3+ years of database design and administration experience
2+ years of relational database experience
2+ years of UNIX experience
Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
Knowledge and understanding of database troubleshooting
Knowledge and understanding of technical documentation
Ability to develop and manage business relationships
Knowledge and understanding of technology support: enterprise environment
Other Desired Qualifications
NoSQL Database experience (MongoDB, Couchbase, or Cassandra) – 6 months
MongoDB database experience (or other NoSQL database platform)
6+ months of experience in backup and recovery, database patching, maintenance and problem solving within a relational database (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or Postgres).
Unix scripting experience
Understanding of Wells Fargo Enterprise Database Management environment
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
