The Enterprise Inventory & Reporting Team is looking for an Application Developer - Systems Engineer to assist in the support and development of new or existing applications and tools for end user device management priorities. These Enterprise-wise supported initiatives are aligned under the HR and Team Member Technologies group.
The Application Developer - Systems Engineer is a critical role in helping Wells Fargo Technology achieve its operational short and long term goals by supporting a variety of critical enterprise-based initiatives. These initiatives drive forward new solutions, assist in achieving our safety and soundness goals, and implement regulatory compliance standards while exploring a variety of new business requirements and environmental demands. This position demands a very action-oriented strategic focus and critical thinking skills to implement secure, risk conscious solutions. Our goal is to support the greater vision, serving as an informational gateway for data intelligence that ultimately drives decision making, motivates change while we mitigating risk for the organization.
This position will be required to enhance, build and deliver new and existing application components and functionality requiring extremely savvy business acumen, consulting skills, and the ability to understand and translate business and technical requirements into stages of development ensuring full completion and delivery of all requirements on time. The engineer will provide instruction and guidance to less experienced staff while partnering with other engineers to decision, implement and manage development processes and technologies consistently across our applications. Engineer will serve as a technical SME and driver for developer conference requirements and will work with Service Delivery Partner(s), SCRUM leaders and team members to review business and technical requirements and specifications. Will work with production support, and business partners (as needed) for the lifecycle of projects to complete all project tasks, including mandatory compliance and regulatory activities in adherence to SDLC. To ensure all safety and soundness requirements are adhered to, the Engineer will partner with Tech Writers and Process Consultants to create and maintain required technical documentation. The position requires additional obligations for peer reviews, creation of detailed testing scripts in partnership with QA team and in adherence with the mandates of SDLC, ALM and QA guidelines. Candidate will be a technical SME for the technology, application, architecture, and data structures built.
Engineer will be expected to coordinate with our internal business units and leadership to communicate expectations and progress. Candidate must be solution and detail oriented, creating competitive advantage through various technologies and a solid foundation of design methodologies.
7+ years of application development and implementation experience
7+ years of .net experience
5+ years of application development experience with ASP.NET(C#)
5+ years of experience writing Microsoft SQL Server relational database queries, stored procedures, query optimization and performance tuning
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: user interface: design, system workflows, and relational data/databases
An AA/AS degree or higher in information technology

Development experience with VB, PHP
Experience performing SQL Tuning
Ability to support and/or design complex ETL production environments
Ability to facilitate or host complex design discussions and drive results
Ability to drive escalated technical troubleshooting and complex analysis efforts for prompt recovery of major issues
Ability to turn preliminary or ambiguous information, ideas, or problems into well-defined plans and solutions
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing priorities independently and effectively
Experience with data warehousing and datamart concepts beneficial
DevOps experience helpful
Experience with AGILE development methodologies and/or JIRA/VersionOne a plus
Internal knowledge of Wells Fargo systems of record for assets and compliance monitoring a plus
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
