The individual will build tools and analytics supporting all aspects of the firm's investing/lending activities, as well as its insurance company operations and the operations of its subsidiaries/portfolio companies. The individual will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the insurance and asset management businesses and will work closely with the front office and management teams. This role offers scope for future growth as the company continues to grow and expand its business. You would report directly to the CIO and join at a time where they are looking to grow their quant team with this being their more experienced hire.
Develop and run analytical tools that will be used to evaluate new and existing investments
Provide support to subsidiary companies in improving their data analytics and systems
Model underlying cash flows of investment portfolios to support matching of assets with liabilities, prepare for stress scenarios, and provide actionable analytics to executive management
Work closely with portfolio management, actuarial, investment operations, accounting and new business development teams, as well as other key stakeholders

You would take the lead on how you would like to grow the coding platform for the group .
This role would eventually lead to a team lead position and junior quants would join under you .
3-5 years of relevant work experience in a quantitative/finance environment
Strong academic performance and preferably a PhD degree in a quantitative field
Foundation in statistics/mathematics as well as finance/capital markets; solid understanding of (and ideally background in) traditional fixed income assets and structured securities. They will be open to other asset classes also if you have a real passion to work in this area .
Strong programming/data science knowledge: Excel/VBA, Python, C, C++, Java, SQL, Tableau. You do not need to have all these languages but a strong proficiency in a couple will be necessary.
Experience working with, scrubbing, organizing and gaining insights from large structured and unstructured datasets
Strong communication skills and ability to communicate technical topics to diverse stakeholders, both orally and in writing
