Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. The Covenant Monitoring Group is expanding to include a new Research and Escalation team. The Covenant Monitoring Research and Escalation Team within Business Banking Operations and Support has an exciting opportunity for several talented, self-motivated, growth-oriented professionals for the position of a Credit Analyst 2. The Business Banking Operations and Support Team is part of the Wholesale Loan Services Group within Wholesale Banking.
The Covenant Monitoring Research and Escalation Team will be responsible for monitoring covenants on Business Banking's existing loan agreements that are more complex and may require more research or discussion with a banker. A loan agreement is a contract between the Bank and a Borrower that records expectations for continuing a credit relationship. A covenant is a financial expectation of a borrower that may be specific to the borrower or guarantor or to the credit product.
Credit Analysts on this team conduct financial document analysis and ratio testing to monitor the borrower's compliance with covenants on more complex credits. This is a production based role focused heavily on quality. The ideal candidate is committed to finding ways to mitigate risk and do what is right for our clients and internal partners through process improvement, development and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Reviewing loan agreements and testing covenants for businesses and individuals to determine compliance
Analyzing financial statements per GAAP/Modified GAAP and internal credit policies to determine if legal requirements are met
Partnering with business bankers and front office teams for additional information when necessary
Provide internal quality control for the covenant monitoring team

3+ years of credit analysis experience
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
Covenant monitoring experience
Knowledge and understanding of business banking: credit
Experience using business knowledge and critical thinking
Experience analyzing accounting principles, tax returns, and business and personal financial statements
A BS/BA degree or higher in business, management, accounting, finance or economics
Experience with one or a combination of the following systems: Business Lending and Sales Tracking (BLAST), Hogan, Automated Financial Systems (AFS) commercial loan system, or SeeMorePlus
Leadership skills including; coaching, training, and mentoring
Ability to work additional hours as needed
