The Production Engineering team within Enterprise Data and Analytics (EFT) is seeking an experienced Windows Engineer to support our server environments. This individual will work in a design, development, and support capacity on highly complex projects using various tools and will also be responsible for supporting current functionality. In general this individual will:
Act as a lead in providing application design guidance and consultation
Work on the most complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of many variables
Plan, perform and act as the escalation point for the most complex platform design, coding and testing
Research new technologies/platforms/products to identify possible integration with current technology stack
Act as an expert technical resource to engineering staff in the program development, testing and implementation process
Play a lead role in critical incremental projects; manages the work of less experienced staff
Assures quality, security, compliance and BCP requirements are met for all EFT Windows servers
The candidate for this position must be able to work effectively with horizontal and vertical teams to analyze, design, and implement related role-based technology solutions. The work environment is fast paced, requiring the candidate to deliver multiple concurrent projects. The position requires the candidate to be highly available to support our environments and teams before, during and sometimes after normal business hours. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter and committed team player with strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
5+ years of application development and implementation experience
4+ years of Windows OS administration experience
4+ years of application production support experience
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Other Desired Qualifications
4+ years of technical troubleshooting experience
4+ years of experience leading the requirement design process with both technical and business partners
Broad knowledge of Windows Server, SharePoint, SQL Server, IIS, NDM, F5, Venafi
Experience leading the day-to-day technical activities related to maintaining a reliable and effective server environment.
Experience managing critical infrastructure in a data warehousing environment
Demonstrated experience with very large relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server or Teradata)
Experience leading technical projects
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to solve problems within area of control quickly and escalate issues when necessary
Demonstrated ability to work with different teams across multiple organizations, locations and time zones
