The Center for Information Technology Services (CITS) has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Enterprise Applications Developer within the Student Enterprise Applications group. This position reports to the Director of Student Enterprise Applications. The position will be involved in technical areas ranging from database and middleware management to the maintenance and support of enterprise business logic (periodic coding may be required). The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining middleware and business logic on several servers and provide technical support for other student information-related enterprise systems (e.g., Ellucian Banner and Degree Works). In order to be effective in this position, the selected candidate will need to possess the ability to use a variety of advanced techniques and tools to achieve desired application functionality and perform technical problem solving for functional team members. As this position provides on-going support and maintenance of mission-critical enterprise-wide production systems that are available, after hours support may be necessary. Technical depth and breadth in middleware administration and software development coupled with flexibility are keys to being successful in this position.

Installs and maintains Tomcat in a Linux-based environment.
Installs and builds new releases of student information enterprise systems.
Works with database administration when applying database changes.
Works with systems administration to acquire required privileges and disk space.
Works with database and system administration when new enterprise architectures need to be deployed.
Designs, develops and implements the enterprise-wide application software solutions to meet campus business requirements.
Technical lead for the student information-related enterprise systems (e.g, Ellucian Banner and Degree Works).
Develops and executes project plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Ensures that system documentation is current.
Identifies system inefficiencies and recommends effective solutions.
Interacts with functional staff and the campus community to troubleshoot issues and implement resolutions.
Ensures system integrity and efficiency.
Communicates and coordinates with other team members to ensure project goals are met.
