The REDCap position for a manager /developer is a critical position for the success of the coordinator pool and the overall mission of the Medical School and MHeath Fairview. Both COVID 19 projects utilize REDCap as the database and eConsent platform for ALL participating sites. This position would manage multiple critical processes to support these Tier 1 studies. This position will support the work of these studies and manage the constant flow and facilitation of REDCap information.
The Acute Care Research Coordinator (ACRC) ISO is housed in the Department of Emergency Medicine and Dr. Michelle Biros serves as the faculty lead for its services. The ACRC is a resource to all departments in the Medical School (and supports research efforts at other area hospital recruitment sites including HCMC and North Memorial through ESO agreements) by providing research nurse level coordinators on demand (including 24/7 call coverage). ACRC has 5 staff nurse coordinators and 4 temp/casual coordinators to help cover 24/7 study enrollments for multiple studies at multiple locations. The REDCap Developer/Data Manager would be responsible for supporting this function and translating all of the research being conducted in to the REDCap system and developing new systems and reporting to be shared across the MHealth system.
Currently, the ACRC Group serves studies in Neurology, Cardiology, Critical Care/Pulmonary/Sleep Medicine/Allergy, and Interventional Radiology and others. The Acute Care Research Coordinator pool supports all of the StrokeNet (Neurology) and SIREN (Emergency Medicine) portfolio of studies. There are an additional 5-6 studies from various departments requesting coordinator resources requesting coordinator services. The Department of Emergency medicine has launched two COVID studies in the last month, 1 inpatient with 10 sites, and 1 outpatient with 3 sites that are both drawing heavily on coordinator resources.
