We are seeking an Application Systems Engineer 4 for a production support role for Wealth & Investment Management Technology (WIMT). The primary role will be to provide day-to-day production support for the Wells Fargo Advisors ancillary processing and workflow management\escalation for internal applications, batch processing, and between Wells Fargo Advisors and their third party providers.
This role will include first and second level on-call support, operations support for applications\batch processing and resolving complex production\technical issues that may arise. There will be direct contact with business users to address questions and issues. They will need to collaborate effectively with both technical, non-technical team members and business partners for a number of work efforts. And also work closely with application development teams and with vendor(s) to support system changes and perform testing and\or trouble shooting. The position will also lead and/or perform research and analysis efforts, and acts as an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting.
In addition, we are looking for an experienced engineer to function in the following capacity:
Provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of escalated issues and\or complex production, application or system problems.
Participate in systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production.
Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas and oversee creation or updates\ testing of the business continuation plan.
Contributes to mainframe DevOps, test automation and automated build and deployments
Develops new documentation, participate in the development of department technical procedures and designs user guides.
5+ years of application development and implementation experience
2+ years of Cobol experience
2+ years of CICS (Complex Instruction Computer Set) experience
2+ years of DB2 experience
2+ years of JCL (Job Control Language) experience
2+ years of TSO (Time Sharing Options) experience
2+ years of Autosys experience
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of SQL or SAS
1+ year of Agile experience
1 + years of .Net and Java application development experience or a combination of both
Knowledge and understanding of technical documentation: for technical design documentation used by engineering teams
Other Desired Qualifications
Experience with Cobol in an IBM zOS environment
Experience providing 24x7 2nd-level system support through on-call responsibilities to address incidents as needed 24 hours a day
Being adaptive to the ability of providing independent application support
Experience supporting Mobius or Ad-hoc reporting
Experience with BCP \ Failover events
Experience with IFT testing
Knowledge and understanding of an enterprise SDLC framework.
Experience with batch processing support and troubleshooting
Experience with patching vulnerabilities
Experience with scheduling changes with release management groups
Experience with of defect tracking tools and process(s) such as WF PAC2000 Incident Management/Remedy Asset Manager/CMDB
Experience with IBM z/OS utilities; Fault Analyzer, Debug Tool, and File Manager.
