The System Analyst specifies, designs, installs and maintains PC's, networks (local and/or wide area), designs and deploys new efficient information system applications, hardware and software for meter reading systems, and all other systems which are of a highly technical nature, including state of the art communications applications. Provides reliable and current knowledge and application of various computer software and hardware. Works with members, other employees, and the general publics in a courteous and professional manner regarding all activities of NEC. Keeps the IT Director informed by providing daily reports and information regarding the status of day-to-day activities and the progress of special plans, activities, and projects.
The System Analyst provides highly effective, organized and detailed work by identifying critical business functions that need improvement or evaluation, designing and implementing custom applications, processes and reports, creating and structuring data analytics processes to maximize business opportunities, identifying weaknesses in a proactive manner and providing orientation and training to end-users for all computer systems.
Primary Job Functions
Designing, developing, and implementing new software applications.
Designing and performing network and system security audits.
Work with department managers to identify and resolve system issues by creating systems or enhancing current systems.
Ensures systems continuity by creating and maintaining documentation as it relates to system configurations, processes, and service records, including use-case diagrams.
Associate degree in CIS or equivalent combination of education and experience
Three to five years of work experience related to Software Development, Web Development, System Analysis and Design Windows Server, Linux, Database Management System
Proficient using various software applications
Class C Driver's License
Software development in Python, Ruby, Swift, SQL
Understanding of RDBMS
Educational coursework with an emphasis in computer applications
