Responsible for the planning, development, design, administration, and enforcement of logical and manual systems control and procedures in the day-to-day systems for Information Technology (IT) Operations. Participate with installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all information systems including hardware, software, and operating systems that support the core organizational functions. Evaluate, develop, implement, and maintain infrastructure on premise and in the cloud, providing appropriate documentation for compliance. Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maintain the reliability of the IT infrastructure systems. Provide end user training as needed.
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Training
Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science or information systems or other related area.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products.
Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices.
Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general server and storage management best practices.
Expertise in day-to-day operations of a diverse infrastructure
Proven success in implementing systems monitoring and instrumentation.
Project management skills required to provide leadership in planning and organizing hardware and software changes.
Strong skills in written and verbal communications, relating technical aspects to management and end-users.
Strong skills in reading and evaluating technical information. Skills in managing, planning and organizing personal work efforts
Ability to react calmly, quickly, and rationally during crisis situation.
Knowledge of North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP).
Five (5) to Eight (8) years of progressive related experience in infrastructure and operations.
Experience with server Operating Systems (Microsoft, Linux).
Experience with managing server and storage platforms.
Experience with Disaster recovery and backup solutions.
Experience with cloud IaaS and PaaS
Experience with network access control solutions and 802.1 x authentications.
Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques.
Experience with Load Balancers
Project management experience
Must be able to demonstrate that he/she can perform all of the essential functions of the position.
Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time on an annual basis. (Possession of a current valid driver's license or ability to obtain).
Must be able to physically deploy data center devices.
