Web Developer/Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cybersecurity Community California State University, San Bernardino
Overview Overview Employment Status: Full-time (40 hours a week), temporary 'non-exempt' benefited position through June 30, 2021 (with the possibility of a one-year renewable appointment based on the availability of work, availability of funds and satisfactory job performance).
Salary: $4,500-$5,167 per month
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Incumbent must be able to participate in remote or on-campus work depending on the directives from the CSUSB campus.

Typical Activities Typical duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Design, development, and maintenance of the CAE in Cybersecurity Community website which provides resources and services to over 300 CAE designated institutions.
Partner with the CAE-C Program Office, CAE Regional Hubs, or other partners to engage in team and business stakeholders for planning, design, development, and testing of the community portal.
Ensure the Drupal platform and all modules updates are thoroughly tested and implemented; preform regular website maintenance; monitory site performance and analytics; configure user roles and permissions; import and export content; train managers and users; and plan and execute upgrades.
Work quickly and carefully to complete work on both small and larger projects, collaborate with colleagues, and suggest new solutions to improve existing websites.
Meet daily with colleagues to discuss goals for the day and week, collaborate with colleagues when needed, work independently on web change edits and coding, and review work by colleagues.
Communicate with colleagues and partners, document work/time details in job tracking system, investigate and learn emerging technologies, and be flexible to change your priorities if the customer's priorities change.
Applying critical thinking skills in application design, requirements interpretation, and ideation in a collaborative environment.
Employ and articulate best practices, security techniques, conventions, and coding standards.
Provide web accessibility guidance, develop user guides, and other support materials.
Should have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Scoping development effort, and providing reliable resource and timeline estimates.
Scrum/Agile software development methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field of study.
Applicants must also have more than one(1) year of Relevant Professional Web Development Experience.
Applicant must have more than two (2) of Relevant Professional experience with Drupal is preferred.
Experience with AWS or GCP.
Experience with GSuite, Zoom, Slack.
Experience with building and maintaining a production Drupal site.
Experience with Drupal API.
Experience with creating and modifying custom Drupal modules.
Experience with web software security testing suites and tools.
Experience with version control systems (i.e. git, subversion).
Experience with at least one major web-focused programming language (i.e. Java).
Experience to be fully functional in all technical aspects of work assignments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Web development and at least one major CMS platform (i.e. Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla).
Basic understanding of database systems (i.e. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL).
Applicants must have the ability to coordinate and prioritize many different tasks, determine the relative importance of each, set deadlines, and complete projects accordingly.
Applicants must have the ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures independently, and use judgment and discretion to act when precedents do not exist, along with the ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to the work area.
Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Thorough knowledge of office systems and the ability to use a broader range of technology, systems, and packages.
Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects.
Ability to apply independently a wide variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist.
Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports.
Ability to effectively handle a broader range of interpersonal contacts, including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature.
