The IT Applications Analyst shall be responsible for:
Working directly with end users - including anesthesiologists, administrators, and clinical researchers - to understand their workflows and technical needs. Must be creative in interpreting and eliciting those requirements from busy end users who are often not familiar with the process of software development.
Communicating and translating those needs to team's data analysts and software engineers.
Organizing a project's progress by working closely with the Team Lead on the time and tasks of the software engineers and on creating project timelines and milestones.
Contributing to a project's success by aiding with design and by testing to ensure application meets defined requirements.
Working closely with the team's software engineers on solutions built in-house by aiding with design, creating project timelines and deliverables, and testing to ensure application meets defined requirements.
Communicating with hospital end user groups and other departments/teams when projects interact with enterprise systems and processes.
Providing hands-on support for the department's vendor-supplied scheduling system.
Actively work with the team supporting the department's vendor-supplied system for intra-operative documentation by clinicians in the operating room. This includes phone support and on-call support.
Working with data analysts to help clarify requests from end users, identify data points and analyze results accuracy for projects in our departmental Outcomes Group.
In order to qualify you must have:
The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in a computer-related or business-analyst-related field, three to four years' IT experience, and one to two years' experience configuring and supporting commercial software systems.
