Experience in a large, international banking, brokerage, or financial services company is preferred. As a member of an Agile Team within the Wealth Investment Management Technology Group (WIMT), the Software Engineer will provide design, technical consultation, and development of computer applications and programs; therefore the ideal candidate should have experience working in Agile with an understanding of Agile practices and mindset. The team member will work with fellow Scrum team members to analyze business requirements, design and write technical specifications to redesign or solution complex computer platforms and applications.
The Team is responsible for maintenance of legacy applications which often requires us to address regulatory, security, compliance, and performance concerns. The team member will perform modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts. In conjunction with fellow on and offshore team members, the team member will deliver original and/or complex coding solutions. In accordance with Safety and Soundness initiatives, the team member will verify program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, as well as testing and debugging of programs. Will oversee overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production. As appropriate, will also develop new documentation, departmental technical procedures, and user guides. The team member will lead initiatives, assign tasks and/or project resources or provide work direction as appropriate. In doing so, this resource will be responsible for assuring quality, security, and compliance requirements are met and may contribute to and test the business continuation plan.
The team member may also be responsible for querying Oracle database tables and performing data analytics. Adherence to technical process controls and standards is required. A successful team member will have familiarity with development tools, build/deploy tools & processes, an autosys environment, a server/infrastructure environment, and integration with other components and applications. An understanding of services oriented architecture is beneficial. The team member may provide subject matter expertise to less experienced analysts and may provide input to supervisors on team member performance. As the team progresses and matures, the applications will evolve and transform in conjunction with Enterprise Architectural direction and standards.
5+ years of software engineering experience
1+ year of Agile experience
5+ years of .net experience
3+ years of experience working with Relationship Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL
An industry-standard technology certification
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of data query language or report writing tool(s)
Knowledge and understanding of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle)
Experience with version control or source code repositories to include: Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory or XMLSpy

Splunk for application performance and error logging and tracking
2+ years of code review and security vulnerability review experience, including exposure to tools and processes such as Fortify.

Experience in Eclipse, Java, Cloud Foundry other cloud platforms like Azure/PCF/AWS; Cloud Certification

2+ years of Version One or Jira experience
