Actuarial Summer Intern Program - Both P&C and Life
The Hartford
You are a driven and motivated problem solver ready to pursue meaningful work. You strive to make an impact every day & not only at work, but in your personal life and community too. If that sounds like you, then you've landed in the right place.
The Hartford Financial Services Group offers one of the premier actuarial summer internship programs in the nation, designed to prepare you for a challenging and rewarding actuarial career. During this competitive 11-week summer program, you and your fellow interns will become part of a highly respected actuarial community at a leading Fortune 500 company, undertaking challenging and exciting assignments while sharpening your technical, communication and leadership skills.
Interns work throughout all actuarial departments including both Group Benefits and Property and Casualty businesses. Challenging performance objectives ensure that the work you do will be valuable to both you and The Hartford. Interns are exposed to a variety of actuarial functions including: personal and commercial lines pricing, corporate reserving, data science, claim, enterprise risk management, group benefits, and more. The program includes a number of unforgettable team building and social events that let you meet and interact with all members of our large actuarial community.
This program begins in late May 2021. Traditionally interns have been housed in fully furnished accommodations in downtown Hartford. Based on future summer 2021 conditions housing will be provided if possible.
