Provides hardware and software technical support for a wide range of complex computer systems and networking in a department. Provides technical support and training for users on departmental computer systems.,
Researches, analyzes, designs and maintains desktop computer systems in support of departmental needs,
Administers the local area network for the department, including the installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrading of the LAN; backs up the LAN on a daily and weekly basis.
Serves as database administrator for the department and acts as liaison to data processing staff from Information Technology in resolving programming or communications problems.
Develops training materials and trains staff to use computer applications; develops and maintains systems documentation.
Analyzes the department's software and hardware needs; recommends hardware and software purchases based on analysis of needs; insures compliance with university and division policies and procedures regarding network/computing acquisitions.
Maintains inventory of the department's computer hardware and software.
May provide technical assistance for departmental faculty, staff and students on the use of the computer systems.
Leads and provides work direction to lower level micro-systems professionals and/or other support personnel.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

This position will provide technical support for the hardware and software of a wide range of systems in the C. T. Bauer College of Business. The ideal candidate for this position is hard working and service oriented individual who understands the importance of working within and across teams.
Primary duties include:
Ensuring that the technology in the classrooms can be used effectively for both face-to-face instruction and for the interactive live streaming to remote students
Providing technical assistance to the faculty and staff of Bauer College on the use of computer systems in Windows and Mac platforms
Provide auxiliary support and assistance to Bauer’s Office of Digital Learning
Knowledge of using Acronis Image is preferred.
Bachelors and 3 years experience
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
