Following a RFI/RFP process to review solution providers, the client has made the decision to replace its legacy Exposure Management systems of multiple instances of OpenXposure and RMS RiskManager with a single instance of Sequel Impact. We are concluding our initial discovery phase with Sequel and are moving ahead into a phased implementation. We have set ourselves an ambitious target of implementing Sequel Impact across 3 legal entities and all our in-scope modelled and non-modelled classes, by the end of 2021. Consequently we are looking to expand our team with testing resources to work within the implementation team to successfully deliver this system.
This role's primary focus will be to deliver test management activities for the Sequel Impact implementation. You will be responsible for management of test activities across the full test lifecycle, and will cover both functional and non-functional testing, and will be accountable for delivering project testing services in line with the organisations standards.
The tasks will include:
Definition of the scope and approach to testing to support project delivery
Planning and management of project test activities
Development of test plans; liaising extensively with internal and external stakeholders ensuring testing requirements, test phases, environment requirements, and acceptance criteria are captured correctly and completely; are understood by the delivery team and are adequately reflected in plans.
Acting as a point of liaison between the business user acceptance stakeholders and the supplier and project teams and liaise with business users to secure signoff of testing. You will need to be able to communicate to business stakeholders in non technical terms and have a reasonable understanding of the insurance sector
Working with IT colleagues and Sequel to ensure all environments are available, properly configured, to support testing in line with the test strategy and plans.
Assurance of supplier test activities
Reporting on progress to key stakeholders
Critical success factors of the role are:
You will be expected to manage test activities across the full test lifecycle, to time and budget, and in line with project requirements. They will also expected to develop and execute test scripts when needed.
Work with team members to review project documentation and requirements to enable testing to be effectively scoped and delivered. Report on and apportion time between simultaneous test work-streams. Prepare test output reports and acceptance notes as required and lead, or participate in test review and sign sign-off meetings.
Work with other team members to ensure that post project completion there are adequate test artefacts to allow for regression testing when modifications are made in the future and that all tacit knowledge necessary for running the regression test artefacts is captured and shared appropriately. Ensure that all testing is documented in sufficient detail to facilitate review by internal and external auditors.
