This position will work remotely but must have the ability to come into the office at the Danvers campus on an as needed basis.
Professional Non-Unit Position
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direction for human resources activities at the College including: recruitment, performance management, employee relations, benefits administration, employee development, compensation and training
Manage HR staff in the performance of their duties, establishing work priorities and achieving management objectives.
Provide leadership in the development and administration of HR policies and procedures to support the college strategic planning initiatives.
Serve as internal consultant to supervisors on employee morale, disciplinary problems, discrimination and diversity issues, performance issues, and other personnel actions.
Administer collective bargaining agreements ensuring union contract compliance and serve as hearing officer at grievance hearings.
Counsel employees on human resources policies, identifying and resolving problems and recommending appropriate course of action.
Develop and deliver training programs that enhance the professional development of all employees including mandated training, supervisory training, diversity training. Participate in train the trainer sessions for the college such as NCBI, DISC Training.
Participate on College-wide committees and teams representing HR/Payroll issues. Serve as HR liaison to diversity groups on campus.
Oversee maintenance of all job classification plans and other Human Resource Department functions, including performing job audits in response to classification appeals.
Research and implement best practices in HR/Payroll department processes and operations.
Serve as Deputy Affirmative Action and Title IX Officer
Serve as Section 504/ADA Program Compliance Officer for the college.
Manage the annual performance evaluation process for union and non-unit employees, assisting managers in the timely completion of employee performance evaluations.
Coordinate the administration of employee benefit programs including FMLA leave, retirement planning, open enrollment process
Conduct exit interview with departing employees and provide annual turnover analysis report with recommendations for employee retention
Establish polices and best practice in telework in response to COVID19 crisis
Develop recruitment strategies to insure diverse and qualified pool for open positions.
Chair the CORI Review Board and coordinating the CORI review process for students and employees.
Perform other duties as assigned.
SALARY: Anticipated salary range is $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 commensurate with education and experience.

Master's degree in related discipline preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible human resource management experience, including a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
Demonstrated expertise and experience across all HR functional areas including recruitment, benefits administration employee development, employee relations, performance management, implementation of diversity initiatives and affirmative action and 504 policy compliance.
Proven ability to interact successfully and sensitively with all members of a diverse college community including students, staff, supervisors, managers, trustees, state agencies and the general public.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with managers, faculty and staff.
Technology proficient in areas related to HR management
Knowledge of federal and state employment regulations, and labor and employee relations including contract implementation and interpretation.
Demonstrated skills in written and oral communication and the ability to make effective presentations to groups.
Experience working with a unionized workforce preferred.
Experience in higher education preferred.
Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations.
Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment.
