Appointment, Promotion, & Tenure (APT) Program (Administrative Coordinator OR Administrative Analyst Level)
The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), Dean's Office in the School of Medicine has an exciting opportunity for an APT Program Administrative Coordinator or Analyst to work within its busy Office of Academic Administration. This position will be filled at either the Administrative Coordinator or Administrative Analyst level with commensurate salary based upon the chosen candidate's qualifications.

Review and process faculty and fellow appointments.
Maintain and prepare reports (periodic and ad hoc) from databases and Excel logs.
Identify and assist in the development and implementation of future process changes. Applies knowledge of APT processes to address and improve organization-specific needs and operations; assists in modifying functional designs to enhance functionality of reporting and tracking.
Draft and edit correspondence.
Participate in updating the office website.
Effectively interact with senior management, faculty and departmental staff.
Assist in the support of school committees.
Provide support and advice to customers regarding faculty appointment processes and faculty/fellow salary administration procedures.
Prepare reports related to faculty appointments.
Attend to confidential matters of employment, credentialing, payroll and records management processes.
Administrative Coordinator Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
Administrative Analyst Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
Preferred: Experience in health care environment or in higher education with a focus on appointment, promotion, and tenure processes is preferred.
Other: May consider a combination of directly related experience and education.

Some familiarity with biomedical and/or scientific terms.
