The Virtual Image Processing Exception Resolution Systems (VIPERS) team is seeking an Software Engineer to support 8 applications within the payment processing platform. VIPERS is part of the PVSI - Branch group within Wells Fargo. This team works in a virtual environment across multiple time zones, occasionally requiring a non-standard work schedule in support of the applications that processes electronic transactions 24 x7 in support of our enterprise and customer needs.  This position requires someone that can be flexible, wants to be part of a dynamic team, and is able to manage multiple priorities and tasks at the same time.
 
The Software Engineer position will be required to perform moderate to complex development for in house and third party vendor applications. This role develops and implements complex internet and intranet applications on one or more platforms. Acts as an escalation point for production troubleshooting guidance; provides training and mentoring to less experienced developers. Evaluates systems specifications for client area web site requirements and determines and implements the most efficient and cost-effective software/package solution. Researches and tracks new web technologies, develops service applications, and analyzes business requirements as they pertain to web-based systems. Responsible for system quality assurance and consistency with installation and security policy and standards.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years of Java experience

• An industry-standard technology certification
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• 2+ years of Hibernate experience
• 4+ years of JavaScript framework experience (YUI, Angular, Node)
• 4+ years of Cascading Style Sheets experience
• 4+ years of Spring experience
• 4 + years of Multi-Threading experience
• 1+ year of .net experience

• Knowledge and understanding of Linux
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to identify and evaluate trends, isolate root cause, and provide swift/thorough resolution
• Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

• Flexibility to address incidents as needed 24 hours a day
• Ability to work on call as assigned
