This Care Aware/Cerner Analyst will be responsible for:
Responding to user problems by listening, clarifying and responding within scope of responsibility.
Explaining new technologies and presenting deliverables to customers.
Analyzing chain of events and establishes procedures and/or detailed specifications. Troubleshooting most application problems independently.
Writing fundamental documentation in a clear, concise manner and according to standards. Sharing knowledge effectively within the work team.
Responding to user problems, explaining new technologies and presenting deliverables.
Selecting an approach or procedure for addressing a work task with general direction and progress reviews by supervisor.
Applying basic understanding of the principles of information technology with working knowledge in one or two technology environments.
Assisting in the development and monitoring of project work plans. Consulting with Teams on environmental decisions.
Documenting all build activities in conjunction with updating vendor provided applications specifications and performing integration and unit testing.
Coordinating with teams for the testing of environment functionality.
Providing appropriate documentation to teams to support the Cerner system, setup and testing processes.
Providing specific training, documentation, support and ongoing knowledge transfer to teams.
Providing support for testing and conversion activities.
Providing project status reports.
Delivering long-term support/management and troubleshoots/resolves issues daily.
Working in accordance with organizational security policies and procedures.
Taking appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of role.
Following Boston Children's Hospital's policies, upholding professional standards, and performing all work in a manner respectful of others.
Adhering to applicable access and change management policies and procedures.
In order to qualify you must have:
3+ years of experiencing working in the health care IT industry, preferably in the Cerner implementation space, is required.
Knowledge of and experience with Bedside Medical Device Interfaces (BMDI) is preferred
Experience with Cerner, Epic, or other EHR platforms is desired.
Experience with the iOS and Andriod operating systems is desired
Experience with Cerner's CareAware Solution is a preferred (iCommand, Capacity Management, CareAware Connect, CareView, and Medical Device Interfaces)
