As part of the Finance group, the Global Insurance Department is responsible for insurance procurement, providing risk management solutions, contractual risk management advisory, and risk financing strategies on behalf of and in collaboration with our global businesses. The department’s goal is to contribute to the financial success of all AES businesses by helping them manage their total cost of risk. The department is here to support all AES business’ endeavors, from early development, through the construction phase and to project retirement. Through Property captive insurance program, the department provides superior coverage and services to AES businesses at local market prices. The Global Insurance Department works closely with in-country Insurance Managers to identify opportunities to leverage our collective purchasing power to achieve further administrative efficiencies, cost reductions and improvements in insurance coverages and services. The Global Insurance team is located in Arlington, London, and Buenos Aires.
Responsibilities:
o Assembling renewal information from local contacts
o Assist the development and construction team with assembling information from local contacts in order to standardize contractual risk management forms
o Compile risk data on the AES businesses and insurance programs
o Analyze data and assist in the production of risk and upper level management reports
o Assist in the refinement of internal spreadsheets that house the risk data
o Support our department’s work stream which is the continued consolidation of our global insurance programs.
o Identify strategies for improved efficiencies in data and documentation collection, storage and analysis.
o Attend local Risk Management and Insurance Management Society, Inc. (RIMS) meetings along with the Global Insurance team.

Qualifications:
o Pursuing a BBA with a concentration in Risk Management and Insurance or/and Finance |
