Pricing Analyst

CJ Pony Parts, Inc. is looking for a full-time Pricing Analyst to join our growing team! Successful candidates will be responsible for increasing our business's competitiveness and profitability through strategic pricing analysis. In this role, you will be analyzing competitor pricing and comparing the outcomes of different pricing strategies. An accomplished Pricing Analyst is someone who can translate pricing data into actionable profit-enhancing strategies.

What your day-to-day will look like: 

• Perform competitor analysis on similar products.
• Identify opportunities based on market trends and industry condition.
• Create reports reflecting metrics and project status, objectives, and barriers.
• Communicate findings effectively to relevant departments of the company.
• Address issues and concerns raised by team members relating to pricing suggestions.
• Analyze competitor pricing and market trends to increase market share and profitability.
• Track item sales to develop effective pricing strategies for products and offerings.
• Apply statistical modeling methods to determine the potential impact of pricing strategies on profitability.
• Recommend pricing strategies that align closely with market trends and identifying new market segments.
• Collaborate with Merchandising and Purchasing departments on developing and implementing pricing strategies.
• Stay informed on pricing analysis methods and industry trends.
• Keep company vendor price files up to date through importing and exporting excel files.
• Research and resolve pricing discrepancies with vendor invoices.
• Maintain and update costs and retail price points in company ERP system.
• All other job duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

• Education: Associate Degree or equivalent experience.  
• Experience: 2-3 years of related experience preferred.
• Specific Skills: In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis. Excellent analytical, research and communication skills. Keen eye for identifying opportunity and attention to detail. Strong Excel and data manipulation skills and or familiarity. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Effective reporting and presentation skills. Understanding of data analysis. Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc.: Knowledge about the industry including competitors and market trends. Automotive enthusiast and basic auto parts knowledge is a plus.
