Job Purpose To strengthen the in-house actuarial capability in the area of general insurance and provide actuarial support to general insurance business. The Job
Perform valuation and assist in preparation of reserve review reports
Perform business projections for business planning, stress scenario construction and stress testing
To develop and enhance in-house statistical capability using SAS software, which includes:
Periodic data preparation for valuation and monitoring purposes
Assist in the financial management of the general business
Support business units by generating required reports
Provide technical support on other general insurance related matters, such as marketing, underwriting and claims management
Support testing and implementation of target operating model for IFRS 17 as well as end-to-end solutions from Datamart to Prophet to accounting systems
Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
