The Business Analyst assists the Product Owner with documenting business requirements and associated business processes in support of initiatives and projects.
The position will work extensively with internal and external development resources in knowledge transfer of business requirements and insuring understanding of how those requirements are reflected in the application.
This position acts as a key link between the Product Owner and the technology teams
The position will require acquiring hands on experience & in-depth understanding of core business processes related to the collection, processing and analysis of large volumes of sustainability information and S&P Global's proprietary technology platforms.
Responsibilities:
Gather/analyze/document business requirements leading to development and improvement of business solutions
Support the Product Owner with the establishment of new projects by facilitating refinements/requirements gathering with business users.
Work with the Product Owner and Creative to outline/develop mock-ups for projects
Assist with user acceptance testing of new functionalities and improvements
Assist with developing metrics for quantifying and measuring the value of business projects
Support with the scoping and planning of projects
Produce and maintain training documentation and instruction manuals for users
Provide innovative ideas for new solutions, functionality improvements to management
Qualifications:
0-3 years of relevant experience
Experience in gathering and defining business requirements for technology teams
Experience in agile workflows and methodologies
Experience in project management and process optimization
Stakeholder management and cross-functional communication
