We are seeking a Business Development Director who will be responsible for the leadership and management of WMFDP’s sales and business development team in a way that reflects the vision, values, and goals of the company. Working with a dedicated team of diversity, equity, and inclusion experts and, other internal support staff, this leader will be expected to create long-term client relationships with Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies. As a member of the management team, this role will also serve as a strategic leader, working cross-functionally and collaboratively with a focus on overall process improvement, service innovation, and stewardship of the culture, mission, and goals within the firm. At WMFDP, our business development team is the important first touchpoint for our clients as they engage in our partnership-focused approach and transformative services. This team is key to maintaining and deepening our relationships with existing clients. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with the sales and business development process in a professional services organization selling to Fortune 500 companies. We prefer a candidate with diversity, equity, and inclusion experience. The ideal candidate will also be an organized project manager who can develop their own team while also working in a matrix organization. We’re seeking a quick learner with a track record of success who can inspire the same in others. This position is based in Portland, Oregon, and reports to the Vice President of Operations. Remote work, for an outstanding candidate, is possible with frequent trips to the home office. Able to travel approximately 20% of the time, post-COVID is required. Overall Objectives of this Role
