 University of California Irvine DATA COMPLIANCE ANALYST Updated: Jan 25, 2021 Location: UC Irvine Campus Job Type: Department: STUDENT HEALTH Job Opening ID: 14839 Reports To: Project Policy Analyst III Working Title: Data Compliance Analyst Department: Student Health Bargaining Unit: 99 FLSA: Non-Exempt Payroll Job Code: 007397 Job Location: UCI Campus- Irvine Percent of Time: 100% Work Schedule: 8-5, M-F Employee Class: Career Position Summary: The UC Irvine Student Health Center is a comprehensive outpatient clinic staffed with licensed primary care physicians, psychiatrists, licensed clinical social workers, dentists, physician assistants, registered nurse practitioners, and registered nurses. Medical specialists from various disciplines including dermatology, orthopedics/sports medicine, gynecology, internal medicine, and ENT provide on-site consultation on a regular basis. Student Health also offers basic radiology and clinical laboratory services, insurance consultation, and an on-site pharmacy, making SHC a comprehensive and convenient clinic dedicated to serving students. Applies professional concepts to conduct analytical studies and projects such as: patient satisfaction, student learning outcome, and quality improvement studies of moderate scope and complexity to address a variety of policy, and procedural issues. Fully analyzes issues and problems, gathers data and information, finds and evaluates alternatives and makes sound recommendations. Responsible for supporting the data functions of the Quality Management & Improvement Program, including tasks related to quality improvement, risk management, patient satisfaction, accreditation, and compliance. Compensation Range: $21.98 - $33.57 Department Website: https://shc.uci.edu/ Required: Three years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Minimum two years of experience directly dealing with compliance and data analysis in a medical group, hospital, or insurance plan environment. Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs. Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality. Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail. Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Working knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint. Special Conditions Required: This position's schedule is Mon - Fri and during traditional work hours, weekends or non-traditional work hours may be required for special projects or busy times of the year, or when strict deadlines must be met. In the case of extended hours, this position may be required to work those hours. Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of a Department of Justice (DOJ) Live Scan background check, verification and continued monitoring of licensure as it applies to the position, and successful completion of our background review or credentialing process, as appropriate to the position. The employee must comply with OSHA, CA/OSHA, and CDC recommendations and requirements regarding vaccination and testing of healthcare employees. This includes, but may not be limited to; current hepatitis B immunizations, annual flu vaccinations, and annual tuberculosis screening. At the discretion of Student Health Center, the employee may be offered an option to sign a declination acknowledgement in lieu of receiving an annual flu vaccination. Per the UC Ethics Briefing, the employee is responsible for reporting any and all potential conflicts of interest to their supervisor in a timely manner. Final candidate subject to background check.
