OHSU Health, in partnership with independent clinics, provide coordinated health care for over 50,000 patients in Oregon through an integrated delivery system (IDS). This specific, diverse population of patients are among our regions most vulnerable, the majority being below the federal poverty level. Together with the care delivery system we are implementing many innovations focused on the quadruple aim of improving the health of this population, reducing the per capita cost, improving the experience of care, and improving provider satisfaction. As an essential part of supporting the IDS, this position is responsible for Epic Caboodle Development, using standard Epic Caboodle tools and Microsoft SQL Server SSIS. The right candidate performs Caboodle ETL design and development that delivers information effectively to and from Epic Caboodle, Epic Clarity, and 3 rd parties. Examples of third parties include health insurance payors, patient experience survey vendors, value-based contract governing bodies, and non-Epic EHR instances at certain ambulatory clinics not on OHSUs Epic medical record system. This position will be developing Population Health solutions primarily via the Epic Caboodle Console, Microsoft SQL Server SSIS, and SSMS. Candidates will be required to have working knowledge of SQL and T-SQL. A successful candidate will knowledgeable in data warehousing key concepts and change data capture techniques, having experience creating star schema reporting data structures, including: facts, dimensions, aggregates, slowly-changing dimension, and bridge tables. Preferred candidates will have experience with source to target mapping, data profiling, validation testing, and ER studio. Duties will also extend to developing metadata models, such as Universes in SAP Business Objects Information Design Tool. This position will require Epic Caboodle Developer certification or proficiency, typically obtained by completing the CDW250 course, project, and exam within 6 months of hire. Preference will be given to candidates who already possess experience with Caboodle development from a recent assignment. This work ensures that the information assets of the OHSU enterprise are leveraged to enhance financial, clinical, and operational decision-making, therefore ensuring competitive business advantages. This position is responsible for partnering with BI business analysts, database administrators, and end-user layer Business Intelligence developers in implementing solutions delivered on Epic Caboodles SQL Server. These solutions allow users to appropriately generate timely, accurate and comprehensive information for managing our business. This position is also responsible for detailed technical analysis to assure the availability and accuracy of data processed by the ETL or contained in the supported data warehouse and systems.
