Director of Development
Annapolis Symphony Orchestra
The Director of Development’s primary responsibility is to lead annual operating, special campaigns, and planned giving revenue goals. This key senior management position will be instrumental in achieving the success of a new five-year plan to make the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra a model of a 21st century orchestra. The position reports to the Executive Director & Chief Development Officer.

Main Responsibilities: Provides operational support to the Chief Development Officer (CDO)
Oversees and provides leadership for the entry-level and mid-level gifts, foundations, and planned giving programs.
Generates major gifts from a portfolio of donors and prospects.
Generates entry and mid-level gifts from a portfolio of donors and prospects.
Professional Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of five years’ experience in contributing at the leadership level to a successful Development office. Strong management skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail required. Impeccable oral/written communication skills. Experience developing strategic plans and communicating program vision. Thorough knowledge of development department functions, including donor identification and solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship.
