Goal of the position:
The Senior Analyst of Invoicing Control is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of billing-related process and financial controls. Person in that role performs control and data validation process steps throughout the whole revenue stream to ensure correct invoicing to Customers (right first time), minimized corrective actions (credit notes and manual invoicing), correct revenue reporting and liquidity through timely customer payments. Person committed to the role participate in managing the reporting functions; contributes to achieving timely, error-proof and surprise-free month-end closings by operating a solid framework of checklists and controls. Senior Analyst has granted knowledge of the related systems and processes, identifies improvements opportunities; improves and maintains controllership across, as well as performs daily operational tasks.
The Senior Analyst of Invoicing Control needs to work very thoroughly and systematically as billing errors may lead to cash-flow issues, significant financial loss of the company and/or customer dissatisfaction.
Person in that role to complete assigned tasks on timely manner and with expected quality.
Senior Analyst is also responsible for recommendations for ongoing process improvements to drive efficiency and maximize value realization. The project engagement or projects activities assignment are needed.
Clear understanding of credit market and customer needs
Report and analysis responsibility
Audit support - both external and internal
Close cooperation with stakeholders and demanding client
Well granted process- operation knowledge
Scale-up about the coexisting processes
Accountable for monitoring work queues for new requests
Responsible for completing assigned tasks within SLA targets
Follow-up on process delays and/or coordinate activities required to complete assigned tasks within SLA targets
Coordination of respective queue or issue resolution, cycle time, leveraging work load within a team to meet or exceed Service Level Agreements
Responsible for reporting activities and SOX control
Train/consult internal customer to obtain proper inputs
Maintain business group workflow, includes follow-up with the business on missing fields, incorrect data and delays
Provide reports to assigned business team to enable end-to-end process visibility
Identify opportunities to improve data quality & reduce cycle time
May include coordination of various activities relevant for processes, including responding to general business and process related questions or issues
May include training and deployment support pre and/or post go-live
Responsible for escalation of issues if needed
Could take on or assist with more specialist activities
Continuous improvement of processes and Lean Six Sigma project coordination.
Positively contributes to and supports team efforts and objectives
Other activities delegated by supervisor
Act according to 3M regulation and policies
Bachelor's degree or higher, 2-3 years of working experience in accounting or order management
1-2 previous experience working with ERP, Oracle
Proficiency in English (speaking and writing)
Additional foreign language skills will be asset
Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Committed to improve the current service state
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to develop and exercise task specific projects with minimal supervision
Practical knowledge of Lean Six Sigma with leading the projects as a Project Leader with successful completion
Able to cope with complexity and uncertainty
Experience and comfort in working with multi-cultural stakeholders and environments
Strong project management skills
Strong customer service ethic for both, internal and external customers
