Act as the Chief Operating Officer for the REIT and Fund businesses in Hong Kong.
Set up business processes, procedures and policies through in-depth evaluation, and execution of continuous improvements in compliance with standard practices and quality control.
Lead and control strategic project planning process, and resources allocations.
Reports directly to CEO.
In charge of operation, compliance, risk and finance duties.
Partner up with the CEO and involve in Product & Platform Management responsible for the platform.
Coordinate local and regional fund business / product development initiatives and projects.
Oversight the product landscape and operational platform.
Work with the CEO and set up development strategy for the fund platform.
Act as the point of contact and Provider Manager for external Service Providers.
Develop corporate governance and control framework (e.g management meetings and reporting, cross border business framework, operational incident management recovery and resolution planning, regulatory reporting, outsourcing oversight, trading framework).
Requirement
Degree or above in any related area.
Industry experience of at least 10 years in Operation, risk or compliance in asset / fund management, ideally somebody who is currently a COO or has taken such post before.
Candidate must be eligible to be SFC type 9 Responsible Officer, exist type 9 RO will have an advantage.
Knowledge of REIT operation, compliance, finance and IT. Understanding that this requirement is generally too board, our client is only expecting the candidate's expertise covering a few of the above requirement and substitute the others with external professional service provider.
Solid understanding of operational processes and investment management applications.
Understanding of industry relevant regulatory- and legal-aspects
Able to work independently.
Flair for finance with the ability to interpret product- as well as business-related operating figures.
Conceptual and analytical thinking.
Fluent in Mandarin (both verbal and written) is necessary.
