The Software Engineer will provide design, technical consultation, and development of computer applications and programs as a member of an Agile team within Wealth Investment Management Technology. The team member will work with fellow Scrum team members to analyze business requirements, design and write technical specifications to redesign or solution complex computer platforms and applications. The team is responsible for building and maintaining money movement applications which often involves addressing regulatory, security, compliance, and performance concerns. Other responsibilities include: Modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts. Deliver original and/or complex coding solutions in partnership with on and offshore team members Verify program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, as well as testing and debugging of programs in accordance with Safety and Soundness initiatives Oversee overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production. Develop new documentation, departmental technical procedures, and user guides as appropriate. Lead initiatives, assign tasks and/or project resources or provide work direction as appropriate. Responsible for assuring quality, security, and compliance requirements are met and may contribute to and test the business continuation plan. Responsible for querying Oracle database tables and performing data analytics while adhering to technical process controls and standards Provide subject matter expertise to less experienced analysts and may provide input to supervisors on team member performance. Support development of the applications as they evolve and transform in conjunction with Enterprise Architectural direction and standards.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) experience
- 5+ years of experience with multiple RDBMS such as Oracle, MS SQL, Teradata or DB2 LUW
- 5+ years of DevOps experience
- 1+ year of Agile experience
- 5+ years of C# experience
Desired Qualifications
- An industry-standard technology certification
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of data query language or report writing tool(s)
- Knowledge and understanding of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle)
- 2+ years of JIRA experience
- 5+ years of Oracle experience
Other Desired Qualifications
3+ years of Tech Lead/Lead Developer experience 2+ years of code review and security vulnerability review experience, including exposure to tools and processes such as Fortify. Threadfix, and Blackduck scanning (i.e., SQL and/or XML Injection, Cross-Site scripting, Click Jacking) Experience with version/source control and automation tools – i.e., GitHub, TFS, Subversion, Jenkins, uDeploy 1+ year of experience in AngularJS, NUnit, Jasmine/Karma 1+ year of experience with GitHub, Jenkins/uDeploy, Fortify, JIRA or the like 1+ year in Cloud computing preferably PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) Knowledge on common security concerns listed on OWASP Experience with SDElements, ThreadFix Knowledge and understanding of business process management
