Only candidates with regional ties to Wyoming and/or neighboring states/region and an understanding of the geography, climate, politics and culture of the area. We are seeking a project manager to fill a position available but will consider all levels of ability including recent architectural graduates. Stateline No. 7 Architects is composed of up to 7 trained and dedicated professionals including a rescued mix puppy, whose focus is office morale. The firm is consciously organized horizontally rather than the traditional vertical hierarchy which allows the principals to be involved in all facets from conceptual design through construction administration. This horizontal stratification along with informal atmosphere ensures that design goals remain in focus and project objectives are obtained. The firm has a wide range of experience in diverse building types ranging from the complexities of medical facilities and large governmental and commercial developments in environmentally sensitive areas to the intimacies of multi-unit residential design. The firm has gained respect and recognition for architecture that is sensitive to its environment and creatively integrated into its surroundings. And despite working in a region lacking historic tax credit incentives, the firm has found a niche in re-purposing existing buildings for adaptive reuse. Existing building designs are honored while adding the conveniences of modern technologies and re-integrating the structures into their contemporary context. One of these repurposed structures includes an historic, previously run-down structure on a prominent corner of downtown Casper that now serves as the firm’s offices, a loft space for the founding firm principal and a coworking space in the basement. The firm utilizes Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and uses Autodesk’s Revit. This BIM software is used from schematic mass modeling all the way through construction documents and coordination with consultant firms. 3D images and renderings combined with Photoshop, Google Earth, Sketch Up, and other interactive software programs have become the typical method that the firm uses to convey its design concepts to its clients. However, the firm still provides physical models, hand sketches and renderings when necessary to solidify the clients understanding of a project. The firm tailors and produces its own yearly holiday greeting card as well as innovative project “e-nnouncements”, replica vintage “blueprint” gifts for clients, and even held a birthday party/open house for their building which turned 100 years old in 2017 - all of which are designed to celebrate and highlight the architecture profession. Casper is Wyoming's' second-largest city with a population of approximately 60,000. Casper has big town visions with small town charm. Casper is geographically situated such that all of the following destinations are within a four hour drive or less for convenient weekend get-aways: Yellowstone National Park, the Big Horn Mountains, the Black Hills of South Dakota, downtown Denver, Deadwood, Jackson Hole, Grand Teton National Park, the Rocky Mountains, several boating/fishing reservoirs, and more. Casper boasts a championship golf course, a mountain ski area, the National Historic Trails Center, a nationally renown art museum, and is rich with western history along with plenty of outdoor fun with boating, skiing, world-class fly fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, and even a white water kayak course on the Platte River right in town! There are miles and miles of pathways winding thru town with plenty of opportunity for jogging, biking, or just a stroll on a nice day. Health, dental and vision insurance are 100% paid, a simple IRA retirement plan, 100% of AIA dues paid if employee attends 50% of AIA meetings, IDP fees are 100% paid, and Architectural Registration Examination fees 100% paid.
