The Team The Health Care Technology Group supports the recordkeeping and administration of health benefits (medical, dental and vision plans) and life insurance plans on behalf of Fidelity's corporate clients, their employees, and retirees. The technology associates on the HCG Platform team interact with business partners as well as systems partners who have responsibility for client-facing channels such as NetBenefits®. The development teams are located across USA. This role is specifically within in the Health Savings Account Product team and based of North Carolina, USA. This opportunity is in the Health Savings Account API team. The team supports many critical initiatives in HSA domain for 2021 and beyond. HCG Team size is 150+ resources across IT and Product. Highly motivated team works completely on Agile Methodology.
The Expertise You Have
2-4 years of Java development experience
Experience in the development of software applications in highly scalable environments.
Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science or related fields)
The Skills You Bring
Application Development based on JIRA narratives (Agile environment)
Able to analyze a business requirement to design and build technology solutions
Very good understanding of Java 8 and above, lambda, streams, and functional interfaces
Proven understanding of REST concepts to develop secure REST APIs
Experience in creating CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and UDeploy
Working knowledge with messaging frameworks like ActiveMQ and Kafka required
Knowledge of databases and SQL
Experience working with Cloud Platforms such as Azure and AWS is desirable
The Value You Deliver
Develop code in Java using Spring Framework, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, including debugging existing code and designing and executing unit tests.
Write PostgreSQL queries and functions in a complex relational database environment.
Develop containerized, cloud native applications.
Update and track tasks in JIRA.
Create, update, and maintain technical documentation for software-based projects and products.
Interact effectively with business partners to understand business requirements and assist in creation of technical requirements.
Participate in architecture, technical design, and product implementation discussions.
