Job Summary:

The Client Services Coordinator will support client services and industry partnerships of Gamma Iota Sigma. This position will be responsible for account maintenance, sponsorship support, and project administration. Execution of this role will support Gamma Iota Sigma’s strategic plan and be done in coordination with the GIS Leadership Team, Executive Committee, and Board of Trustees.

Specific Duties:

  • Account Servicing – Sustaining Partners (SP)
    • Assist in the servicing and support of Sustaining Partner accounts
    • Function as a key contact for SPs following the initial sale of the partnerships
    • Monitor individual SP engagement and usage of SP benefits to ensure partnering organizations are maximizing the benefit of their financial contributions
    • Track SP satisfaction and retention
    • Address SP questions and concerns that may arise regarding SP participation in events and other benefits in a timely manner
  • Fundraising & Sponsorship Support
    • Assist in the development of target lists for client prospects
    • Coordinate and track fundraising projects and initiatives
    • Serve as a key contact for sponsors following the initial sale of event sponsorship
    • Assist with sponsor communications, key dates and deadlines, and other logistics
    • Address sponsor questions and concerns in a timely manner
  • Project & Resource Administration
    • Assist with new projects which enhance Sustaining Partner and sponsor value perception and allow for their increased/improved access to GIS students
    • Manage client database and recordkeeping
    • Responsible for client invoice records and bookkeeping management
    • Prepare account service-related documents such as reports and meeting agendas
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred.
    • 1-2 years related experience required.
    • Gamma Iota Sigma alumnus preferred.
    • Insurance industry experience preferred.
    • Experience with trade association, non-profit, or membership organization a plus.
  • Skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills, record-keeping skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Desire to learn and grow professionally.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Team player with a collaborative mindset.
    • Strong work ethic.
    • Adept in QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires:

  • A remote office location with internet.
  • Approximately 10-25% travel, including air travel and driving.
  • Work nights and weekends as necessary to attend meetings and events.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds when required on-site at events.

Telecommuting is allowed.
