The Human Resources Department is looking for a creative, articulate and highly motivated individual to work closely with the Executive leadership team of Human Resources on the execution of Boston Children's People Strategy and diversity goals. Under the direction of the SVP and Chief Human Resource Officer, and working in concert with members of the HR Executive team, the Senior Project Manager role will be primarily responsible for project management for critical Human Resources initiatives central to the strategic goals of the organization.
This role will draw upon both your understanding of HR best practices and project management expertise, as well as your ability to analyze and communicate key information to relevant stakeholders. The position works collaboratively with all HR functions, and specifically has accountability for ensuring all HR program initiatives reflect the voice of the internal customer and are executed accordingly. The ability to collaborate, execute independently, work in a fast-paced and high volume environment will be critical to success.
To qualify, you must have: - A Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Science, Business Administration or related field is required. Master's degree preferred.
- Project Management Professional Certification strongly preferred. PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
- Five years' experience driving HR strategic program implementation and/or HR project management in larger, more complex organizations. Subject matter expertise in one or more Human Resources areas, such as diversity, performance development, succession planning, total rewards and/or client service delivery required.
- Excellent communication skills
- Expert level PowerPoint/MS Office skills are essential in this position.
- Work requires the ability to effectively manage multiple demands and projects and/or proposals simultaneously within assigned department/division and to persuade and negotiate with peer level department heads and/or with external agencies/facilities on issues and programs that impact assigned department as well as several other large departments/divisions.
- Advanced knowledge of PC-based software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and manual and web-based applications for collecting/ reporting data
- Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement and/or process improvement activities.
- Knowledge and experience with process improvement principles usually obtained through formal training and application of Lean and/or Six Sigma training programs is preferred.
