The Program Manager: Professional Development and New Programs is responsible for managing the operations of the professional development program and new programs developed by One Schoolhouse. Specifically, the Program Manager is responsible for:
Assist in student and professional development participant uploads and troubleshooting. Support course building of professional development courses, including updating materials, fact-checking, proofreading and ensuring adherence to OS standards in all materials. Edit videos for clarity and length. Act as the on-demand course product lead and maintain all current courses and assist in planning and building future self-paced courses. Create and disseminate professional development certificates and reports for association partnerships. Organize submissions for advanced independent curriculum certification and oversee the workflow of school’s submissions through the process. Evaluate learning management system data to recommend updates and improvements
Event Planning - In-Person & Online
Plan and organize professional development and academic leader events; including some travel (once per quarter). Support special events projects for One Schoolhouse. Provide general support for participants throughout the special event process, from pre-planning inquiry through participant follow-up.
Ensure that all communications with professional development partners and constituents, school contacts, academic leaders, and other key contacts are professional, timely, and strengthen the tie between One Schoolhouse and the entity. Organize and set up webinars and meetings for professional development and academic leader programming. Assist in planning and executing strategic communication plans on program offerings and targeted communication campaigns that effectively position One Schoolhouse as partners in innovation. Provide phone and email support for professional development constituents and serve as the initial point of contact for telephone inquiries related to professional development, organization events, or advanced independent curriculum queries. Maintain database accounts for all constituencies related to these programs.
Plan and create original documents, videos, and presentations that support professional development and academic leaders initiatives. Assist in creating website content to accompany campaigns as appropriate. Assist with One Schoolhouse social media platforms. Maintain mailing lists and oversee listserv logistics, including technical support for end users.

Task Management: Responding quickly to requests and meeting project timelines and deadlines. Organize complex projects with multiple participants, helping individuals involved adhere to deadlines and submit deliverables.
Technological Acumen: Ability to quickly learn to work with learning management systems, business systems, and data management systems as well as adeptly learn new technologies adopted by One Schoolhouse. Use technology creatively to problem-solve and expand opportunities.
Detail Oriented: Proofreading, developing, updating, and using accurate checklists, reviewing and revising communications prior to publication, ensuring presentations and videos adhere to OS standards, and performing routine tasks on a predetermined schedule.
Team Player: Working with a small team to achieve a large and critical mission.
Creative Problem Solver: Developing original solutions to complex problems. Recognizing potential challenges before problems emerge and proactively seeking possible solutions.
Data Analysis: Working adeptly with datasets to summarize and analyze data input and visualize patterns to assist in developing presentation methods that share the findings effectively

Travel & Physical Requirements The Program Manager: Professional Development and New Programs will need to travel a few times a year (approximately once a quarter). The position is located in an office, and thus a successful candidate should be able to work at a computer for long periods of time.
Location This is a not a remote position, candidates must work from a central office in Washington, DC, when safe conditions allow for a return to the office.
Qualifications A bachelors’ degree is required. Successful applicants meet the competencies described above.
Reporting This position reports to the Assistant Head of School for Professional Development and New Programs.
Status Full-time, exempt position.
Compensation Package Salary Range: $48,000-$52,000 Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible to participate in the School’s 403(b) plan, health and dental plans, and short-term and long-term disability insurance programs. Full-time employees are encouraged to use their twenty-five PTO days. In addition to annual PTO, the employee will have paid holidays in accordance with the School’s annual calendar.
