Accounting Manager, Accounts Receivable

The American Library Association seeks an experienced accounting manager for its accounts receivable area. 

The A/R manager is responsible for recording and processing all bank activities to ensure that all cash receipts are properly recorded timely and accurately. The manager will participate in the month-end and year-end close process.

Other key responsibilities:

• Manage daily lock box activities and ACH/Wire transfer receipts, in-house deposits, and credit card transactions.
• Manage third party processing transactions – publishing activities and conference related activities.
• Maintain daily and monthly accounts receivable logs.
• Oversee billings process.
• Prepare/update recurring monthly activities.
• Manage inquiries related to accounts receivable.
• Review iMIS transactions and post weekly.
• Prepare month-end close entries.
• Participate in year-end audit by preparing PBC items.
• Perform A/R related balance sheet account reconciliation.
• Assist the Controller with year-end analysis.
