The Surgical Systems Analyst Plans, develops and implements the medical surgical system in coordination with Surgical Services, IT and corporate. Continuously improves and processes, including integration in Wesley Medical Center systems.Responsible for training, education and streamlining the system in order to provide a user friendly system.
Here's what you can expect from being an Analyst in our unit:
·You will develop, implement and maintain surgical computer related systems
·You will coordinate the development, documentation and maintenance of policies, procedures and user manuals for the system
·You will monitor system activities to ensure data security and validity as well as efficient and appropriate system usage
·You will provide support for strategies and resource allocations needed to meet system-related goals
·You will function as a liaison with HCA corporate customer services
·You will report and troubleshoot OR systems
·You will create NPR and department reports to provide statistics and data for Administration, QI & QM, Finance and Surgical Services
·You will coordinate with IT for installation and repairs on computers and systems
·You will conduct analysis of OR statistical reports
·You will ensure data integrity through periodic audits and reviewing/revising policies/procedures in the use of supplied system software
·You will report generation and analysis of Surgical Services statistics, trends and profiling
·You will perform analysis, data entry and audit of all patient charges for Surgical Services and Central Sterile Departments
·You will work closely with the Materials Manager to ensure charges are accurate
·You will review the chart masters and submit to the Materials Manager any adds, changes and deletes
·You will run detailed timekeeping and productivity reports for manager and ACNO Surgical Services including overtime usage, daily hourly breakdown, lunch exceptions, orientation hours, incentives/shift premium, absences by employee, ongoing exceptions by employee, miscellaneous punch detail etc.
·You will supervise the OR schedulers, Surgical System Assistants and the OR Internal Control Coordinator in the absence of the OR Nursing Manager
