The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), Institute of Human Virology (IHV) is currently recruiting for a Research Data Analyst . This position provides complex research and data support to PI's in the Division of Epidemiology and Prevention and serves as a point of contact for a specific international research studies. Data analyst will have primary responsibility for drafting protocol, checking accuracy of data, collecting missing data, using statistical software to analyze data, setting up data collection tools, training study staff, and preparing reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for drafting protocols, checking accuracy of data, and collecting missing information from international studies.
Analyze data (using statistical software like SAS or STATA) and maintain database files.
Set up and maintain redcap data collection tools, train study staff, and prepare study reports.
Perform searches to generate standard and customized reports using statistical applications.
Participates in presentation preparation and manuscript preparation.
Other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelors in Epidemiology, Public Health, Information Management, Social Science, Public Policy, Mathematics, Statistics, Health Sciences, or field of study related to the research.
Masters degree preferred.
Applicant should have a strong interest in HIV and other infectious diseases, solid background of global health research and research and strong quantitative and/or qualitative skills and research experience are preferred.
