Develops new or enhanced insurance products, services and customer innovations for targeted lines of business, industry segments, or specialty lines.
Utilizes market research data to identify, analyze, and evaluate markets, products, or services that are potential areas for the company to enter.
Develops and executes strategic plans for entry into new markets or the development and introduction of new products and services. Prepares contract language, develops initial underwriting guidelines and standards and oversees development of new predictive analytics including pricing models and other predictive models.
Responsible for executing short-personal lines product strategies in accordance with line accountability to meet corporate and divisional objectives, profit and growth goals, and combined ratio targets.
Collaborates with functional divisions to design, implement, and direct American Family's auto product strategy.

Prepares and analyzes department/unit plans and reports.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements
Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
Demonstrated experience analyzing economic and social trends having a bearing on financial results.
Demonstrated experience communicating complex data to multiple business partners.
Demonstrated experience in public speaking and use of appropriate presentation skills.
Demonstrated leadership or management experience in area(s) of accountability
Extensive knowledge and understanding of statistical/actuarial analysis and modeling.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of property and casualty products, pricing, rates, insurance accounting standards, industry trends, and how multi-disciplinary activities interact and affect overall financial results.
Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).
Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
This position requires travel up to 10% of the time.
