What will you be doing in this role?
The Senior Financial Analyst will play an integral role in the month-end general ledger closing process and be responsible for preparing general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries when appropriate. This individual will perform budget to actual variance analyses on a monthly basis prior to scheduled meetings with General Accounting Management. The Senior Financial Analyst will assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated Financial Statements. In this role you will:
Play a key role in the month-end close process
Prepare both standard and non-standard journal entries to record transactions impacting the Medical Center and its affiliates
Prepare general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly basis
Assist with the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated Financial Statements
Assist with the preparation of annual audit schedules
Perform accounting research and provide guidance for the recording of significant and unusual transactions
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, finance or similar relevant degree required. Masters degree preferred.
A minimum of 3 years accounting experience required.
A minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience preferred.
Experience with accounting in a healthcare environment highly preferred.
Must be detail oriented and be able to prepare various work products from the perspective of a reviewer
Must have strong computer skills, primarily in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Must be flexible and possess the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs &/or priorities
