Revenue Cycle Services Analyst III is responsible for the optimization of systems and technology within all areas of Revenue Cycle. Regularly reviews systems, current workflows, and processes looking for areas of improvement, efficiencies, and cost savings. Ensures systems are used as intended and at full level of functionality. Researches available technology to ensure the correct technology is in production for Revenue Cycle. Makes recommendations for new systems and/or new functionality. Develops financial plans to determine feasibility of new solution given the current systems portfolio budget. Leads the installation, configuration, conversion, and implementation for revenue cycle systems and technology. Works with Revenue Cycle Management to determine functional specifications and operational workflows for the systems used within revenue cycle.
The Revenue Cycle Analyst III job duties also include, but are not limited to:
Leads assigned projects and/or system implementations to meet short- and long-term goals and objectives.
Secures internal resources as needed and determines/manages all phases for projects and/or systems implementations.
Develops and maintains project plans. Provides updates, including go-live timeframes and reports any delays in project timelines to others in Revenue Cycle as needed.
Will help manage a selection of different vendors across all areas of the Revenue Cycle. These areas of focus are front end (access services, charity, patient estimates, etc), middle (HIM/coding, billing, charge capture, insurance discovery, etc), and back end (appeals/denials, collections, bankruptcy, estate, etc).
Manages issues and opens tickets as needed; manages the work steps and resources for issue resolution.
Works closely with Revenue Cycle Management and Revenue Cycle Information Services ensuring that current systems/technologies/workflows achieve optimal performance and functionality within overall enterprise portfolio.
Research new systems and technologies that are available in the marketplace and provides recommendations for these new systems on the basis of improving operational efficiencies, cost savings, and/or expense reductions.
Provides analytical support and develops tools for Revenue Cycle Operations to enhance current and future performance.
Prepares and submits project presentations to Revenue Cycle Leadership, including the Vice President -Revenue Cycle.
Cultivate internal and external relationships and serves as liaison between Revenue Cycle Operations, Revenue Cycle Improvement and Revenue Cycle Information Services.
Participate on special revenue cycle projects (application strategy, operational process standardizations, and compliance initiatives).
Manages workload and projects to meet committed timeframes, quality guidelines, and operations expectations.
The ideal candidate for the Revenue Cycle Analyst III role will have an understanding of revenue cycle operations to include, but not limited to, systems, scheduling/registration, billing, collections, payment/adjustment posting, credit balance/refunds, statements, bad debt write offs, collections processes and reporting.
