CFC has a need for a Cooperative Financial Analyst in the CRG - Events & Training group. In this position you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain CFC’s proprietary financial analysis products for the membership. The Financial Analyst defines, enhances and designs utility financial management and statistical decision-making models, and provides hands-on member support for these products.
As a Cooperative Financial Analyst, you will:
• Be responsible for development and deployment of new and existing financial management models that support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and strategic financial analysis for member cooperatives. • Define specifications and requirements for BTS and external consultants to enhance, update and maintain models and tools. • Participate in the definition, strategy and development processes for next generation financial analysis tools. • Leverage hands-on support and member engagement with tools to synthesize and communicate business intelligence to management and internal stakeholders. • Generate and disseminate monthly product impact reports and performance metrics. • Serve as a SME and instructor in the development and delivery of training and support tools for financial models. • Develop and execute “train the trainer” and support processes assisting internal stakeholders with their use of CFC member facing models, while analyzing various business opportunities and providing other solutions as requested
To be successful, you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or equivalent field. • MBA, CPA or equivalent field is preferred. • 5 years of relevant experience in the electric utility industry or providing financial/accounting consultative services to the electric utility industry. • Experience innovating and managing model development.
