The Enterprise Programmer/Integration Specialist will serve as a point of contact between the IT Applications group and functional users; develop and implement business solutions through the full software life cycle; serve as a point of contact for data interfaces with outside entities and technical support resources; support the Senior Programming Manager and Lead Programmer Analyst in the execution of all principal functions of the IT Applications group. The Enterprise Programmer/Integration Specialist is specifically responsible for the design, development, testing, integration, deployment, and maintenance of complex Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software applications.
Essential Job Functions:
Support and maintain the core Ellucian Banner 9 suite (Student, HR, Finance) and Degree Works Modules, customizations and 3rd-Party integrations.
Perform integration initiatives for 3rd party products, using API;s, Ellucian Ethos, ILP 5, Go Anywhere and other tools.
Design, analyze, code, test, debug, modify and document applications requiring thorough knowledge of academic applications and processes with limited supervision.
Design coding standards, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies
Quickly convert concepts and ideas into solutions through the preparation of detailed specifications consistent with the IS development methodology for academic application projects and customizations that will be integrated with existing applications.
Analyze and modify existing academic applications and processes, and provide recommendations for system and process improvements.
Diagnose and resolve problems in the maintenance and support of academic applications.
Interact with client and technical teams to define requirements, resolve issues and develop solutions.
Provide input when reviewing new academic application designs to ensure consistency with business objectives and technical standards.
Assist in the development of data management policies and procedures
Create and deploy data queries for ad hoc reporting
Operate within a complex product and academic environment requiring the ability to manage multiple requests.
Able to work independently and maintain focus on priority tasks.
Maintain change control and testing processes for modifications
Collaborate with the academic and management teams to develop efficient plans, processes, timelines and work required for addressing all identified support and upgrade activities.
Partner with end-users and technical staff to diagnose and resolve problems relating to a variety of academic processes.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains current knowledge of trends and practices in the field through peer associations, attendance at conferences, seminars, study and review of literature, and professional development opportunities.
May be required to be available for after-hours emergency response duties as a member of a 7x24x365 support team.
Performs other related duties as required.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Duties are performed in a typical open, office environment with minimal or no exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and little potential for injury. Position involves extensive sitting, although frequent movement is necessary. Walking, standing, bending, twisting, and occasional lifting are required. Regular computer usage involving repetitive hand/wrist motion is also necessary.

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field
2 years' experience in hands on programming/analysis; experience with Ellucian Banner Information systems and related modules as a technical specialist, such as Banner 9.x, Banner Self-Service, Degree Works, Ethos, BCM, ESM, CPoS, EIS, and 3rd Party Application integration/API's; experience implementing medium and large scale IT projects, product integration and/or development systems; or experience developing custom solutions for ERP and SIS systems. The number of years of experience may be substituted for a higher degree or professional certification.
Experience with RESTful web services
Experience developing integrations using REST with JSON, SOAP with XML, or GRAPHQL
Experience building custom solutions using ASP.NET/MVC
Ability to work effectively in a diverse and equity-minded community, and to meet the needs of student and staff of diverse identities such as socioeconomic background, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and veterans, including those with different levels of academic preparation and learning abilities.
Experience designing business based solutions to support the functions in various institutional units, preferably in a higher education environment.
Experience following Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), iterative processes, and version control.
Ability to create and maintain detailed testing plans and associated scripts.
Ability to conduct research into administrative system issues and products as required.
Participate in creation of both technical and user manuals for new and existing applications.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team to handle multiple, complex and varied assignments in a timely manner and effectively prioritize tasks
Must be well organized and able to keep written records.
Ability to analyze and interpret data and to clearly and effectively communicate technical information to individuals at all levels of the organization with varying levels of understanding.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Microsoft SharePoint Administration experience a plus
