We are looking for a driven, dynamic and self-motivated salesperson to join our team of skilled product and IT professionals.
The Business Development Manager serves a critical function in our organization through implementing a sales strategy that supports profitable growth in conjunction with business plan objectives. You’ll grow business through building new relationships, maintaining a continuous pipeline of opportunities and managing KPI’s while leveraging the technical advantages and rapid new development capabilities of the organization.
• Meet or exceed sales targets on a consistent basis by appointing and managing agents/brokers and through strategic partnerships with industry or niche groups. • Develop a sales strategy with an emphasis on prospecting and closing new opportunities. • Maintain a consistent pipeline of new opportunities and prioritize to achieve superior results. • Routinely engage agents/brokers/partners, providing feedback on performance relative to goals and key performance metrics. • Be a strong advocate for the needs of your agents, brokers and partners. Identify and support new opportunities to enhance advantages within marketplace. • Develop a detailed understanding of company insurance products, systems and workflows. • Leverage corporate technological competencies to maximize growth objectives and outperform competitors.
• Typically requires at least six years sales experience, with preference for background in property & casualty insurance or software sales. • Proven commitment to achievement of business goals and objectives • Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels. • Confident and highly motivated • Bachelor's degree or above preferred. • Professional designation(s) a plus (i.e., CPCU, CIC, CRM, AIC, ARM). • Significant travel may be required.
