Responsible for maintaining enterprise directory accounts; installs, maintains and supports network servers and server applications.
• Provides enterprise account administration; implements and maintains identity management software; creates drivers and logic; monitors driver health; responds to service interruptions; upgrades and patches servers as required; maintains account security, access rights and removals; provides 2nd tier help desk support for users with account problems; troubleshoots account issues for users. • Provides Google apps system administration; updates and maintains domain; sets defaults and security settings for user accounts; monitors dashboard and communicates outages and disruptions; vets and approves 3rd party requests; creates groups; maintains security of documents; creates scans for sensitive data; responds to security breaches; monitors daily reports of activities. • Installs, tests and maintains network delivered specialized production software for functional users; participates in project planning, budgeting, system design and training; assembles hardware and installs software; maintains servers, patches operating systems, upgrades software and troubleshoots network problems. • Stays current on technology trends and innovations. • Installs, configures, monitors and troubleshoots network operating systems and infrastructure applications. • Maintains network security; controls access rights to shared drives and folders; manages Windows Update server; integrates security within all College-owned applications, systems, hardware and system access. • Provides end-user support and training; troubleshoots and resolves problems with users and accounts that have been forwarded to the Help Desk; performs data restorations; investigates and remedies network connection issues. • Promotes a climate and culture of diversity and inclusion. • Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department’s service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, or related field; AND three (3) years of professional network administration experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
