This position contributes to the timely and accurate creation, tracking, reconciliation, and reporting of expenditures for Boston University Libraries' scholarly resources portfolio (including institutional memberships, software licenses, books, databases, journals, and media) in the Libraries' Information System; verifies that records are accurate, error free, and reconciled, to ensure they successfully progress through the payment life cycle; and produces regular spend reports for the Libraries' expenditures to assist the Director, Finance and Business Services with budgetary analysis and spending projections to be reported to various stakeholders. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of an operational calendar, tracking upcoming contractual expenditures and creating a timeline for the Libraries' fiscal activities. In addition, this position manages the Libraries' resource request queue, procuring electronic and print books that meet pre-established criteria, and, along with the Accounts and Projects Analyst, generates orders and creates payments in the University's accounting system.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
3-5 year of experience working in library records management or in an administrative role with financial reporting responsibilities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Strong organizational skills, including ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Willingness to learn and grow
