The IT Project Manager II shall be responsible for:
Serving as the Project Manager between the PPOC Project Management Office (PMO), the IT Steering Committee, the end user community, and PPOC Epic Application Leads.
Collaborating in the development, maintenance and communication of the Project Plan, and developing and implementing a communication system to keep all constituents aware of the current status of the projects.
Supporting the development of planning activities including necessary requirements gathering, process flow charts, focus/work groups and other related activities. Providing technical support in data gathering and analysis for PPOC Project Team.
Coordinating all tasks between business, functional, and technical project team members as well as coordination of any vendor interaction if applicable. Ensuring that coupled tasks are aligned with each other and are performed in the correct order.
Maintaining minutes and meeting reports of all project activities. Synthesizing the information between meetings and assisting Project Team in meeting goals and objectives. Assuring that delegated and assigned tasks are completed in a timely fashion.
To qualify, you must have:
The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field and five to six years' experience.
The analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems OR design relatively complex systems and programs.
Communication skills in order to persuade and negotiate with others on important matters.
Experience in Healthcare Information Systems, Application Support, IT or Clinical experience using the Epic EMR and have a solid understanding of workflows and configuration in an Ambulatory setting.
Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC) is preferred.
Exposure to EPIC optimization preferred.
