The Center for Information Technology Services (CITS) has an exciting opportunity available for an Analyst and/or Senior Analyst of Enterprise Applications. The selected candidates will be part of a team responsible for maintaining and supporting UMB's Quantum applications, namely Oracle ERP Cloud Financials and Oracle Analytics Cloud. In addition is an opportunity to be part of a project team tasked with implementing Oracle Cloud HCM.
The Analyst position will design, configure, test, secure and assist in the implementation of functional aspects of Quantum applications. Requires the ability to assess current campus business practices, analyze and understand Quantum applications and develop solutions to implement best practices for campus business functions. This may entail developing functional specifications for enhancements to the enterprise-wide application software. Typical duties include acting as a liaison to campus community, monitoring critical business activities, troubleshooting and resolving issues and escalating complex matters to the appropriate project resources.
The Senior Analyst position will lead or coordinate/facilitate a team in the design, configuration, security and implementation of functional aspects of enterprise-wide application software solutions. This position will have an in-depth understanding of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application configuration options, processes, and data flow. Requires the ability to assess current campus business practices and develop solutions to implement best practices for campus business functions related to enterprise systems. Typical duties also include acting as a liaison to campus community, monitoring critical business activities, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
These positions will be filled as either the Enterprise Applications Analyst or the Senior Enterprise Applications Analyst based on the chosen candidate's qualifications.

Design, configure, test, secure and maintain enterprise-wide software application business functions.
Assist in setting up and maintaining application security for campus community.
Assess business practices and requirements and analyzes ERP software applications to evaluate available solutions.
Act as a liaison between end users and technical team to address issues and recommend solutions.
Provide functional support of the production ERP application by working directly with campus users.
Gather business requirements from users and creates functional designs to enhance functionality of the ERP application online pages, batch processes and/or reports.
Assist in the design and development of new business processes by applying knowledge of ERP application functionality in conjunction with understanding of organization-specific needs.
Create and execute test plans, evaluates results and documents new features for system enhancements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
In addition to the duties listed above, the Senior Analyst will also:
Design and implement ERP application security for the campus community.
Facilitate meetings with functional staff, technical staff and campus community to troubleshoot issues and design and implement resolutions.
Develop and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
May lead and train other staff associated with enterprise-wide application support.
Independently troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate resolution through Oracle's Application Support Group via Service Requests and/or Enhancement Requests.
Independently create, execute and manage test plans and evaluate results to ensure system integrity.
Document and manage application issues and resolutions.
Identify system inefficiencies and recommends effective solutions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems or a related field.
The Analyst position requires two (2) years of experience with an ERP application (Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, or EBS). This may include experience as a functional user of or providing functional support to other users of an ERP or two (2) years of experience providing functional support to other users for another enterprise-wide system. Related experience may be substituted for minimum education.
The Senior Analyst requires four (4) years of ERP (Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, or EBS) experience as a functional user of or providing functional support to other users of Oracle ERP or (4) years of experience providing functional support to other users for another enterprise-wide financial system. Experience in any Cloud Reporting Software like Oracle Cloud Analytics, Hyperion etc. is a plus.
Other: Both positions designated as an essential employee who may be required to work on non-business days or outside of normal business hours in order to ensure the continuity of operations for information technology services.
